Retainer Care Instructions

Wear it at all times, except when eating.

Clean your retainer daily with toothpaste and a toothbrush. Soak it in retainer cleaner to keep fresh and clean.

If your retainer is not fitting, wear it if at all possible and call the office for an appointment. If it breaks, call for an appointment to bring it in; it could possibly be repaired for a small fee of $15.00.

STORE THE RETAINER IN ITS HARD CASE, to protect it from being cracked or lost. The cost to you to replace a wire and acrylic retainer is $125.00 and a clear plastic retainer (an Essix) is $100.00.

PLEASE DON'T:

DON'T: wrap your retainer in a napkin at a restaurant for any reason.

DON'T: set it on a dresser or counter where a pet could get to it and destroy it.

DON'T: leave the retainer in the hot sun or boil it in water.
